Can't make Thursday, but conditions are looking good for Friday also.  If the forecast stays the same I might come over.

I would do PC streams still to hot for fish to run and I caught 6 coho about 2 weeks and then you can get your rock fish. Astoria is my second if PC is good to go.

I wouldn't say nailed it but we did manage some fish considering the only other guy that made it this morning was Fred Trojillo. We waited till around 7:00-7:30 am to launch for the tide to come in a little counted the sets waded out, I counted the sets and we jumped on to push out , boy did I pick the wrong timing we wad a few small sets that were in the timing then got two rollers that were both sets of swell pushed together , got over the first just before it broke...... Not so lucky on the bigger one, let's just say the decks were cleared of any sand that might have got dropped on it when we jumped in. Neither one of us took a swim. Fred went to drop his pot in the crab hole and I proceeded to troll to the rock. Marked fish but not a hot bite. We managed to pick up some good size  fish west of the rock when I found the school. Hope that made up for the white wash Fred? I kept 4 tossed a few little ones back. As I started to feel seasick Fred headed for the crab pot and came back with the pot full of his limit plus a few for me, ;D guess he wasn't that mad about the bad timing on my part.

Try ginger caps next time you go out. Dramamine's new non drowsy. Is 100% ginger. You get 8 for about $8.00. Or a bottle of 90 for $13.00.

Thanks again, Mojo! It was a great trip in my book and that of my family's as they crushed the Dungies I brought back to them and my dad made a killer fried rockfish. Nothing like fresh fish! Fresh fish! (Thank you Shawshank!)

I'll tell you I was a little worried when I was about to bring that pot over the side of my yak. Sorry it took so long to figure out what I was going to do (throw them in the hull or bring them in the pot. It was easier to bring them in the pot. Luckily the landing was better than the launch. That WAS pretty funny about the incoming set. It sounded good on paper, but as soon as we got in the 'yaks, BAM! The fish and crab more than made up for it.

Looking forward to my next trip out there!

Didn't hear anything, but there were a few dories out. Didn't hear anything out of Depoe Bay either on Tuesday when I headed out there either. The Siletz is starting up though.

Mojo, you guys saved your day for sure. Good to hear the nooks are starting to poke into Tillamook Bay. Looking forward to seeing what the weather change brings up and down the coast.

As for the river, we were there about a week ago and saw about 10 trailers at the "guardrail" and not one bankie at the ramp which I thought was unusual. Our friends who live there have heard of a few caught lately. They must be right out there I would think. We spent an hour casting spinners off the sand dune and did not see anything roll or anything.
