I did a little Buzzbombing last week and had quite a bit of annoying rod tip wrap.  I was thinking of trying some KastKing braided line, which claims to help with that.  Any truth to that?  Any caveats or other plusses to that stuff?

I have tried most of the newer braids and feel the Power Pro is the best for me as to less tip wraps and the nasty wind knots. Also feel that Spider is the worst...Now this is on spinning rods and reels, no idea if  this aplies to level wind reels and stiffer rods.

When trolling or downrigger trolling with braided line, to prevent those annoying tip wraps, I hold tension on the line with one hand while putting the rod in a rod holder with the other hand, and then maintain the tension until I clip the line into my downrigger release.

The less often you hold your rod vertical or close to it,  the better off you'll be.

Power pro is my line of choice.   People give me grief  but I always leave the clicker on.  That helps with excess slack line. But then again I'm typically trolling or fishing vertically with heavier weight.

Try Fireline original.  It's a lot stiffer than power pro so it doesn't throw loops as readily.

I've used this line for a lot of different applications and really liked it.

Hmm. I wonder how that would work. I used to use fireline a lot ice fishing. Really liked it. Haven't even considered it lately.  May have to try it again.

+1 I've not tried Fire Line, but PP has been the best from my experience.

for bottom fishing and trolling I have exclusively used braided line for the last decade or so.  Because of the wind knots I have stuck with mono for anything where I am constantly casting.   Especially when fishing crowded banks as no one want's to be "that guy using braid" when getting tangled with other lines.
I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

I use nothing but braid above the swivel.

PowerPro has always been a problem for me, even PowerPro Super Slick has been annoyingly prone to floating in the wind and tip wrapping.

My favorite braid is Fireline Original, but it's been getting hard to find in my favorite weights.  I tried some Seaguar Smackdown and it seems to be a compromise between PowerPro and Fireline; it feels slightly less stiff than Fireline but I didn't have any tip wrap issues with it last year.

I have a reel spooled with Daiwa Samurai braid and I may switch to it exclusively.  I don't have enough hours of experience using it, but it's a mighty impressive line.
