Nice salmon! Careful when gripping on the lip. I once was lip gripping a salmon while bleeding it when the salmons mandible snapped and the fish sank. Luckily I had my net under it.

So upon further inspection, that was a sockeye I caught it on a herring behind a flasher. Seems odd to me.

Yeah good call Rudy that was a coho. When I filleted it, the flesh was a much deeper red than a normal coho. Looking at the silvery tail and big pupils though...definitely a coho.
