Had an amazing few days with the family in Homer. Rented a condo from lands end (highly recommend). Whales were everywhere, weather was better than some days in July, and the fishing was hot. The first day I hooked a monster king and it broke the bead swivel on the banana weight....it was fairly rusted so lesson learned. Ended up fishing with the coho killer exclusively . Best times were as the tide was just beginning to go out. My 4 year old was with me when I hooked into a 10 lb. King. He got to reel it in most of the way so he was very stoked. Can't wait to go back!
Fishing relaxes me. It's like yoga except I get to kill something.

Congratulations.  I should have joined you.  Seward had Wales as well. Not as many but they were holding in my fishing spot. Hard to fish around them so got skunked. Glad you got your Kings. Ate the white king in butterfly filets tonight.
Great to meet you and see you on the water again soon.

Very cool!  I like your ride too.  Were you trolling from a standing position?

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain

Those i11s look pretty sweet! I pretty much just either kneel or sit down while trolling. I'd have to put my rod behind me if I was to stand up to facilitate switching the paddle from side to side. Good to see you guys out there, let's do it again!

Awesome. Nothing better than the excitement a kid has with incoming fish! (granted, theirs is exactly like our own, but without the Mute button pressed)!

ROFL - I love that.  Totally agree - nothing like watching you're kids get hooked on fishing.   The pictures were awesome !
