Still looking to go after salmon at the coast somewhere! Okay, last Saturday didn't work out at Tillamook with the weather and all. I am still up to making a trip to the coast and chasing down some salmon. It has to be on a Saturday or Sunday - that darn job gets in the way during the week.

Anyone going out?

I'll be taking my grandson out Saturday on a coastal river.....

  I am in Washington however......

You would be welcome to join us if you'd like.

Where in WA might that be? SW or further north?

My grandson loves in Hoquiam-- I live in Raymond. So it will be on the southern coast.
Right now I am leaning toward fishing the Copalis River. It's a nice little stream just north of Ocean Shores with easy access and a decent run of silvers. There are some ancient cedar trees standing off the shore that survived a Tsunamie hundreds of years ago that can help make this an educational trip for him as well. The launch is just upstream of the Hwy 109 bridge. All tide water.
About 10 years ago I took his older sister fishing there and she caught a 15 lbs silver on her first cast and her 1st time fishing ever. It was a good time I hope we will repeat.

At Windy bay or up further at Reedsport? This might be a destination this weekend if you care to join.

I'm new to the area but I think a few miles up stream from reedsport. Right next to the elk refuge. Guys got a bunch of silvers casting spinners and kings trolling cut plug chartreuse and silver flashers.

We plan on fishing for rf and lings on Thursday if you want to join us ( see my post) but can't do any fishing this weekend
