I was there today.  Lots of fish jumping around me.  I stayed on shore because there was a lot of logs and other things floating in the water especially at the lower end of the lake by the dam.

Nope.  I took stuff to troll with, no power bait.  I threw some hardware but no joy.

Wait WHAT? You mean your on INSAYN fishing team and you don't carry all but deep sea tackle in your vehicle, I have 3 different tackle boxes and 6 full Plano boxes as well as at least 2 poles in the car all the time with the exception of " were driving to Warrenton for costco shopping" but I still have 1 pole and box.... Never know when we might break down or TLW wants to go somewhere girly that I'm not digging a trip too.

I usually go fully loaded but my main reason for going today was to try out my new sidekick and sail.  I took some basic stuff to troll with because I can't go out on the water and not fish...

I didn't take it out.  I was afraid of running into a log or something and sinking my battleship.  [emoji1]

Hdpwipmonkey, would you be able to take a photo of the logs and post it if you run into it next time? I go bank fishing at hagg quite often, never saw logs that would prevent me from riding a kayak.
If there is a seeming safe, but actually hazardous situation at hagg, I'd like to learn about it.
Thanks in advance!

Should have been there Friday.  They were everywhere down at the lower end of the lake.  Mostly towards the spillway side but I'm sure there were some lurkers all along there.  I will definitely get some pictures next time.  Was it dangerous?  To me, it wasn't worth it.  I could of stayed up near the boat ramps if I really wanted to I guess but the main reason I was there was to try out my sail and there wasn't much wind in the morning when I was there so I didn't go out.  I stuck to the shore.

Nice day on the water.  Caught three trolling Needlefish before the wind picked up and I decided I'd better start heading in.  I had a slow paddle back to the truck with the wind in my face; good workout though.

Nice!  I am hoping to try it again next week.  Maybe Thursday if the weatherman will cooperate.  I want to try my sail kit out.
