Since my "regular kayak fishing season" is done for a couple of months, it occurred to me to check the software version loaded into my Humminbird 768 fish finder.
Low and behold, I was "down-rev" by 2 years, so I updated the software......it was painless and easy to do.....I wonder how many other guys need to check their software version too  ???
