I'm looking for a men's MEDIUM drysuit at a good price.  I'm tired of waiting for those low-priced suits that everyone - including me - likes to be back in stock.

Got one for sale?  Know of ones that work and are on sale or don't cost a small fortune?  Let me know, please.

Outdoor Play seems to have them on sale at least once a week. I just bought a pair of Kokatat Tropos for the wife and I for $403 for mine and $439 for hers. Granted they are not top of the line but should do fine for the limited cold water fishing I do.

I got a really good deal on a new one from a kayak rental shop in Lake Tahoe, CA... If I were to buy another one I would do a lot of calling around to try to find something like that...warrenty included!

bought my dry suit from Outdoorplay as well with a 20% coupon.  great experience.   They have Hydrus suits on sale right now.  Not sure if that is in the range you are looking at but it might be worth a look.

Kayakacademy.com usually has used suits priced competively.

Thank you all.  Was looking at Outdoor Play just before posting this and am waiting for an answer to a question I needed to ask.  It's a good sale, but if I can go lower, I will.  If not, I'll take the sale price and grit my teeth.

This wouldn't be for me - unless I rip mine - and it will only get used a few times a year, so while I'd like to keep everyone safe and dry, I'm happy to pinch a few pennies.

I'll call a few rental shops.  One can never tell, and I'd have never thought of it.

did you take a look at Mythic drysuits?  I think there are purchasers here on NWKA.

Yes, thanks.  For anyone who owns a Mythic, I have a question: their sizing chart puts very small socks on a men's medium.  How small are they?

Yes, thanks.  For anyone who owns a Mythic, I have a question: their sizing chart puts very small socks on a men's medium.  How small are they?

I have a mythic drysuit but it isnt a medium so I cant tell you for sure how accurate the sizing is on that one.  I can tell you that I got an XXL because I was worried that my size 13 feet wouldn't fit in the smaller sizes.  I wanted to make sure I had lots of room for extra heavy socks and that I could still wiggle my toes.  Once my feet get cold, its over!  The XXL says it is for a size 12 mens US and I am a size 13 and I still have room for 2 pair of socks and my foot still fits well into the drysuit sock so for this particluar size it does run a little bigger then it says.  If I had to do it over again I would go with a smaller suit because I am swimming in this one.   ;D
I hope this helps.  I know there were a couple others on here that have mythic suits hopefully one of them has the medium and can get you a better answer.  If not you can call Mythic or email them and they will get right back to you.

Good luck in your search!

Thanks, monkey!  I grabbed a pair of waders based on claimed sock size once, and I could dog paddle in the waders and wear scuba fins in the socks, so I appreciate your answer.

I emailed Mythic and Kokatat asking for information, and right now, there are great sale prices on Kokatat, bringing the price right to the edge of affordable for use by an in-law, so I'm feeling a bit pressed for time.

Thanks again!

I haven't looked at this thing for a couple years I'll pull it down and go through what it's gonna take to make it a functioning dry suit and let you know.
