So I'm currently in the market for a hobie. I'm super stoked to this new hobby of mine. Maybe you guys can show me tips on certain set ups. I've been trying to learn things online but I haven't found exactly what I'm looking for.  Maybe certain brands that are super reliable? Gps, fish finders, batteries etc thanks for the help guys. I'm exited to be apart of this group

Welcome to the madness!  I am new to the club as well. Everyone has been helpful and has a lot of knoweledge. I have found it useful to search some of the old boards. I believe there is a ton of useful data on the forum. Hobie is a great brand. I wish I had the funds to get my own. Many people on this site have hobies and can share knowledge

Welcome.  Lots of info on this site and lots of good peoples too.  As far as your questions to set ups the best I can tell you is first thing you need is a kayak.  Once you decide on which kayak you want, hopefully by demoing them, take it out a few times and fish with it.  You'll quickly figure out where you want things and what will work for you.  As far as reliability of certain products I'm sure someone somewhere has already tried it on here.  If you have certain questions about certain products then use the search function of the forums.  If you can't find what you are searching for then ask away and I know someone will give their opinions.
