As I started working on putting my 2015 highlight reel together, I realized that Ryu frankly had the better video shots in many cases.  His Birthday is Monday so I wanted to make sure I had this video completed before then for him.

I'd say he had a pretty good year for a ten year old kid...soon to be eleven.  Heck,  who needs a highlight reel for me when I have this!  I had a few decent accomplishments and some really nice fish, but really this was the highlight of the year for me to get to share my passion with my son.  Not to brag, but I couldn't be more proud of him.

So as usual, highlight reels are a little longer than the average attention span but I hope you not only enjoy it but maybe motivates a few folks to get their kids out!

That was fantastic, I played this at the firehouse tonight over the Apple TV. I'm pretty sure I just converted a couple guys to the dark side!
Fishing relaxes me. It's like yoga except I get to kill something.

That was a totally awesome video Rudy. Thanks for putting it together and sharing with us all. Ryu has got some skills going on. Of course , he has a pretty good teacher too. Congratulations to you both.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

What a lucky kid! I wish I had learned at that young of an age. He's probably going to be breaking some records in his life (if he hasn't already?)!

The video is very well put together and fun to watch. Thanks!

I lived in Seward last summer and all I did was work, work, work. I am hoping for a specific job in Kenai this summer that is M-F.....weekends off for yak fishing. :banjo:

Thanks all.  It was his birthday today, turned 11.  But he is still a kid.  I can't forget that.  He still loves his nerf guns but I am glad he loves to fish.  His reaction is priceless to me.  I'm glad I get to document it all via video and hopefully youtube outlives me and he can enjoy it when he is my age!

Beachmaster, we gotta fish!  If not this this winter we will definitely have to get on the water starting late April!

Thanks for sharing the video.  Great times fishing with your kid.  Just curious about his weight compared to the big halibut.  That would be awesome catching a fish that out weighs the fisherman.

Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.
