My wife and I started Stealth Rod Holders about a year ago. Born of our passion for kayak fishing.
Thanks for accepting our request to join this forum.
There has been some discussion about our products as we like having the chance to answer questions where possible. Plus, we love the discussions were seeing here getting different angler perspectives.

Thanks! Looking forward to getting to know you all! -Jason

I took a look at their website and thought the product looked pretty solid. I PM'd Jason and guess what? They're going to sponsor AOTY to the tune of 6 rod holders! How cool is that?

Thanks!

Yes indeed on the link and Jason has showed some interest in sponsoring TBMD as well.

Looks like quite the improvement over the Scotty Orca I bought and can never figure out how to release.

Are the bases Scotty compatible ?

This is great news, welcome aboard Stealth Rod Holders. It's a great benefit to the AOTY and a great way to introduce a new product to the PNW crew.

Lauren, your efforts in building up the AOTY are outstanding and very much appreciated.

Very cool, indeed.  Thank you, Jason, and +1 on the shout out to the Cap'n.  Great work, CaptainRedbeard.

The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

The link is StealthRodHolders.com ( I Hope Im not violating any rule by posting that, but since people are asking for the link Im guessing its OK?)

Yes! We are compatible with Scotty and Cabelas. So, if you have those, this should fit right in. ( I hate drilling new holes in my boat), or if you like one of our mounts but have all Scotty holders, this saves $ as well.

Thanks! This is an awesome forum! Very welcoming. I appreciate it. -J

Yes! We fish.

A little more background on us.  Stealth was born out of our frustration in our yaks. I am a product designer by day and I have had this quick release mechanism idea for a while. Seemed too perfect for a rod holder.  When we started fishing from our kayaks, i personally am back and forth from the rod to the paddle..... ALOT.  And, I always felt like the rod holders I had were just working against me.

I prototyped this and it just makes life easier. When it's in, its in. But... its not in my way to set the hook either.
So, after years of noodling, we decided to go for it and build these things. Were a small company and we have been making these for about a year. The response has been really positive and we are grateful for that. It's a ton of fun because its our passion. We try to treat people right, and the rest just takes care of itself.

We live in the Atlanta area, very close to the Chatahoochie. Primarily kayak. We go for Brown Trout, Bass, sometimes Stripers. We may be coming out your way soon, to visit,  and we wanted to link up to your forum and get feel for the community. Very impressed so far!

Nice, if you time it right try to hit one of the tournaments and bring lots of extra gear because you'll meet the most members possible at the tournament. We all take pride in the charities we fish for as well as getting a chance to hang out with old friends and meet new ones, plus we get a little fishing in.
