Built a kayak rack so that I have some more room in garage for activities.
Got the idea from another forum and will be adding caster wheels for easy moving.
Am willing to answer any questions and listen to any suggestions.

This is sweet!
Doesn't get much simpler than this. Plus, it doesn't scratch up your rig.  Well done!

I was going to suggest using rope or strap so the kayaks weight are more evenly distributed then noticed what I think are orange straps going cross ways around the middle ??

I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

I built one exactly like this myself...I don't have straps and it does dent the bottom of the yaks...I need to put straps on mine.

I've got two of the same racks- one in the garage with casters for the newer Hobies, two on the front covered porch without caster for our two older Hobies.  The one with casters works great to roll outside into the driveway to wash and protect the kayaks. I keep both upside down with the hatches open to make sure the inside gets really dry between trips.  Gotta love PVC!

Not yet but I have a "spare bedroom" that looks more like the fishing section of the Barview grocery store than a bedroom.  The only thing that qualifies it as a bedroom is that it has a bed.  Or as Don says, a large soft platform to use to sort, clean and organize for fishing gear.

Sorry- can't get use to the whole quote thing..... Post should have been in response to Mojo's as follows;

I like it ! Fishing gear with its own bedroom, but we will start worrying about you guys if we hear that you have resorted to tucking in and reading lullabies to you favorite fishing rods.

No- Don says he needs a 70" smart TV in the room so he can watch Youtube videos of fellow NWKA members while he "organizes" his stuff.......   So far, my answer is no.....  I'd never see him if he gets a TV and small refrig in there.....

But I have more PVC so maybe I can make another rack that I can take with us when we camp.....  it would sit right behind our rig and keep the kayaks off the ground and give them a chance to dry.  Only thing I'd have to worry about is the gale force winds that hit Garibaldi sometimes.  I'd have to lease them down pretty good.

Lash it to the back bumper & depending on your stall your trailer may block the wind.
