Got up early this morning and braved the 30 degree temp to try for some smallies! I didn't have alot of time due to I had to work also but 40 minutes was enough to tease the itch.
I took the new PA 14 out, and until today I have been living in the illusion that it's not to bad to car top the PA on my Toyota FJ. But after having to pack it about 20 ft to the water cuz I didn't want to scratch it, I realized that was 20 ft to damn far!! God who am I kidding that thing is a beast!!!
All good though, the mighty Zeus and I were able to see an epic sunrise and catch one ok smallie, first one of the yr out of the snake too! And yes that is a little snow in my yak!
So anyway now ya'all know what I will be doing for the remainder of the season except for the often side trip to oregon...hehe.

That's awesome! My dog would have gladly jumped in the water, successfully managing to get me/us soaking wet for the day. She'd be happy as a clam though.

How far up the snake were you? I live in the tri-cities and was thinking about hitting up the snake soon.
