First 2016 springer!

I have spent about 20 hours on the troll so far, exclusively out of Sellwood, but had to sit out the last couple of weeks due to conditions and commitments and such. Today the water looked really good with kind of a silty green look to it but none of that awful brown that has been the norm this spring. I felt lucky to finally get on the board and it seems like the real run is only starting so I am anxious to get out again and get another or two of these feisty early season fish.
This one fell for a plug cut herring dyed blue and brined on the downhill troll in about 20fow. No flasher just real a real good vibe trolled close to the floor.
Can't wait to see some more pics and reports of folks in kayaks slaughtering Willamette river spring salmon!
