from http://www.northwestfishingreports.com/ReadArticle.aspx?id=621 "They are: Lake Chelan, Banks Lake, Cle Elum Lake, Kachess Lake, Keechelus Lake, Palmer Lake, Bead Lake, Sullivan Lake and Lake Roosevelt. "
"A venturesome minority will always be eager to get off on their own,
and no obstacle should be placed in their path;
let them take risk, for God sake, let them get lost, sun burnt, stranded, drowned,
eaten by bears, buried alive under avalanches -
that is the right and privilege of any free American."
--Edward Abbey--

This is one fish that I really want to try and catch this year. Does anyone know if they are found in central or Eastern Oregon? Hit Cle Elum once last year after the chum derby. No burbot but I did land my first Mac. Beautiful lake.

No Burbot in Oregon. Your closest bet is Banks Lake.

Not entirely true well sort of lol.A few years ago a sturgeon or walleye fisherman,I can't remember which, in the columbia below Johnday dam caught one.it had a catfish partially swallowed.they are by no means in catchable numbers but if you happen to win the lottery I would go wet a line.

Thanks Tyler. I will try somewhere in Washington this year. Is Banks near to where you are moving?

I wonder how many fish species are in the Columbia. I just learned there's tilapia in parts of the Snake in Idaho.

Yup I'll be about 1 hour from there. There are several lakes in the area with burbot.
