I have been asked by Alaska Raft and Kayak (the local Hobie dealer) to utilize their seminar spots again this year.  Unlike last year, I will be doing three separate seminars:

1) Intro to kayak fishing south-central Alaska:  Kayak selection, safety, and gear.

2) Kayak fishing for salmon in south-central Alaska.

3) Kayak fishing for halibut in south-central Alaska.

Exact times and dates yet to be announced but I will post them as soon as I know.  The show runs from March 31st to April 3rd.

Spread the word please!  If for no other reason than to make sure I am not talking to myself!  lol.

   Go for it Rudy,

Lori and I were just talking about how far you have come in the last 5 years.
  Absolutely amazing.
The student becomes the teacher............ how cool  is that ???
I have to say that you have certainly earned the " Guru of Alaska Kayak Fishing" title.
Have fun with your seminars at the Great Alaska Sportsman Show. I'm sure you'll do great .
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Thanks Mark!  It was from folks like you and "cod" on the Alaska forums combined with the info I garnered from this site that got me going.  Its hard to imagine what type of fihsing I would be doing had I not taken the leap into kayak fishing.  Owe a LOT of that motivation to you!  And for that, I will always be grateful!

Thanks for the offer of assistance.  I will let you know.  This is awful late for them to be deciding the seminars.  I knew months in advance last time.  I hope the entire show is not suffering from delayed organization.  I plan to work on the presentations...three of them this week so I will have a better idea of how I think everything will flow.

I'd say you were doing anything but talking to yourself.  We arrived late and hung out for the halibut seminar. You had a larger group of people than any of the other 3 seminars. Nice job!
