Fish finder under 250

I am wanting to buy a fish finder but am on a budget. What would people recommend for a fish finder under 250. I have done some research on low range models but they all seem to be out of my budget. Any ideas?

I use the lowrance elite 4 hdi. Got it for 189.99 and fishermans marine. Love it. the bigger you go the more battery drain. I like to keep it simple but effective.

For that price range you can get either a small color fish finder without a GPS,  a small BW fish finder with GPS, or a medium BW fish finder without GPS.  Color plus GPS generallly starts around $300.

This is a good deal for a fairly wide screen, color sonar and downscan but no GPS for $250

Ok, I've pick up two fish finders in the past 3 days. One is a Humminbird Helix 5 Sonar/Gps (paid $180 for it, it was brand new in the box....found it on CL). The second one i bought was from cabela's bargain cave (you can't return it, so make sure you get what you want), its a Garmin echoMap 43DV it had the lake master chip w/ it (paid $170 for it). You can find some decent deals, it just takes some patients and a lot of looking. I'd honestly prefer the lowrance series (thats what i've ran on every kayak i've owned so far), but i couldn't find one in that price range for the features i wanted. I'd for sure go with one that has gps, I didn't last time and regretted it a lot. Thats just my thoughts on it.

Does anyone one have any opinion/Review on the Garmin Striker 4DV (179.99). Searched the forum and couldn't find anything.
