If by "foleyed in" you mean "they found a dead alligator, sunk it, and then pulled it up for the video," I think you're probably right.  If by "fishy" you mean, "suspiciously little thrashing around when the dude in the kayak pulled it to the surface," I think you're probably right again.

i'm no swamp person, but have encountered quite a few gators up close in the everglades and congaree swamp, and that doesn't look like a dead gator to me. they're weird creatures.
