Hey y'all, I'm an NCKA member and I like to kayak fish when I travel. I'll be coming to Gold Beach next week (7/15-7/20) and would love any friendly advise or guidance from anybody who's fished the area. Thanks in advance for any help you've got to give.

Late springers and early fall run salmon are in the river right now, check in at Rogue outdoor store when you get there for the latest info, plan on spinners.  Salmon are being caught close in at Brookings too and rockfishing has been good.  The Oregon KMZ is open until Augut 7 so no worries about the CA KMZ half month closures, just don't stop and fish eureka or trinidad for salmon on the way up.  Mark selective coho retention is also open.

I might be able to join for a day or two, depends on a few things coming to gether at work.  ling ling, herro? and boxofrain might have some info too.
