Hey everyone, been lurking for a year. I've been watching a lot of kardinal_84's YouTube vids, and thats really what got me obsessed with kayak fishing, so I dove in to this. I'm out of Anchorage, I'm on a pretty tight budget, but I really needed to do something to get me out of the house and into the world. I inherited a lot of my father's old salt water gear and have been trying to re-purpose it for kayak fishing, but there's a lot of stuff that I doubt I'll ever use. Anyone want to make an offer on a 90's era fish finder?

I took my pro angler out for the first time today and I'm in love. My current projects are working on a permanent storage solution (just saw hands down the coolest one I've seen yet on YouTube, ) and working on a battery dry box for my Lowrance Elite 4-HDI I got, thanks to lurking these forums. I think they're still on sale at West Marine.

The real big fishery I'm targeting is the Seward Silver Salmon Derby. Growing up, I used to fish Seward every year with my Dad, and I think it's a real fitting way to break in my Hobie.

Huge thank you to kardinal_84. I've been watching all of your videos, usually twice or three times, and going through your site. I wouldn't be doing this unless you showed me the way. Thanks for what you're doing.

Hey hey !  Sweet!  And you are more than welcome!  Love to see more folks getting into the kayak angling here in Alaska!  Silvers are a blast, but lots to do before August!

Kings are hot right now and halibut only gets better!  Let's fish!
