Ok.   Finally loaded and headed south into increasing winds.

Anyone else going to head down to the point hoping for good weather ?

I'll be ready for AM trip tomorrow or Sunday.   Camped at Halibut C/G In anchor point for tonight and Saturday.   Hoping the wind dies down its a bit rough at first glance just now, and weather not looking likely to let up until Monday if you believe the online forecast.

Wind at 15-20.   Rain.   Some chop and getting worse.  I'm on hold.   Not in my comfort zone with heavier wind from WSW

Noon update - right call.   Whitecaps 3 miles out.   Wind stronger.

Seeing some small sand lances washing up.  2.5".   Anyone got stomach contents analysts from recent catches?

Man, I hope the weather improves for ya, that looks nasty. Recent fish I've caught were loaded with those suckers and what looked like hooligan. Good luck!

Last week's king had an empty stomach, halibut loaded with hooligan and crabs.

Met James at the Gulch.   He reports getting two under 20 In close very early and running in before the chop got bad.

Then I ran across this story about a rescue off the spit this weekend.

Will check again later but the waves were breaking 3-5 feet and stacking on each other - afternoon launch was out of the question.

Yikes.  My king last weekend was spitting out small sand lances.  Halibut had a few in them as well.

Was going to head North but it windy that way to.  Argh.

Looks like I picked a good weekend to stay home and go hiking instead.
