I'm disappointed that INSAYN's face is not photoshopped on that pic.  Or at least Luke Skywalker.

I'm more disappointed that Mojo posted two pictures in a thread and neither of them had an INSAYN Fishing Team logo.

I asked if I could upgrade to the Goretex Meridian and I would pay the difference. I also suggested I could be a test platform for their new Angler Goretex. They didn't bite.  ;D They said it would only be $75 to upgrade to the Meridian.  That is less than what it would have cost me to have the leaks patched and the new neck gasket put into the old one.  I love this company.  I did it because I wanted the lighter color combo in the Meridian.

Yours isn't Leaf colored is it? I don't wanna go all Jennifer Jason Leigh on you and start dressing like you.

Ha! A Single White Female reference worked into a conversation. Check that one off the bucket list.

Yikes.  No, mine is yellow and black.  The recently stopped making that a standard color option for some reason.

Having just received my Kokatat suit I ordered I have found that the neck gasket (latex) is a bit too snug, while I didn't feel like I was choking I could definitely tell it was a bit too tight to be comfortable for any period of time. According to kokatat the neck can be trimmed to fit, but does anyone have any better ideas? I was thinking about stretching it with a pickle jar or coffee can or something since I am a little worried about damaging my new $$$ suit. Anyone with any experience with this?

The wrists are also a bit tight, but I can stretch those with a few soup cans or something.

That will work. Google stretching drysuit neck. Here is one thread that talks about it.

Good deal, thank you! I figured that would be a good starting point.

Kokatat is the real deal. Quality products and people all here on the west coast even.

You can use a coffee can etc to stretch it out. Don't know how it works long term since I trim the gaskets. Just go bit by bit until they fit comfortably. Some people also use a tube in the neck gasket to take some of the stress off. Check out Kayak Academy for the product.

I gave up on stretching latex to make it looser fit, as it just made the latex fail sooner.  Add UV, body oils, sun block, and salt, and it will breakdown, get really weak and eventually tear anyways.  Why give it a head start?

When I replace my gaskets (myself) I just trim them right out of the package before installing.
They really are not hard to replace, mostly time consuming.

Trim it. that is why they have those convenient lines on them. Trimming is not Taboo! They say so themselves. https://kokatat.com/support/product-use-care

Craig is correct. They are designed to be trimmed. The material will last longer and perform the way it is supposed to. Stretching is just adding wear and tear to your new suit before you even use it. Make sure you pin the ends gently and only cut one ring at a time. I cut a lot of dry suit seals in my dive shop days. It's much less complicated than it sounds and you can really screw up badly and still have them work. Unless of course you cut too much off so go slow.
