Raymarine 'ducers on Jackson Kayaks

The CPT-DVS transducer (the one that has the wire coming out of the front)  makes for a tough fit up in the JK scupper. Call Raymarine tech support and they will send you a CPT-60 (top wire).

They are well aware of the issue. I didn't see much about it elsewhere, so I thought I would post it up.

Good info, Ling Banger.  I think I have read that somewhere else, but it isn't widely publicized. 

On the subject of CPT-60 transducers, they'll also fit in the Hobie Lowrance Raymarine-Not-Ready scupper (it's an easily Google-able modification).  It requires cutting some plastic out of the black plastic cover plate, and the transducer just fits inside, no hardware required.  The best tool I found for modifying the cover plate is a high speed cutter Dremel attachment (#115 or #196).  Trying to use a sanding drum to remove the material melts the plastic into mush.  The CPT-DVS would not fit in the Hobie scupper.
