Rudy, thanks for the info. I'm not really interested in anchoring, just trying to keep the equipment required to a minimum yet effective for catching fish. I was south of you off Anchor Point when the wind started picking up which made for more pedaling than I planned on the way back. Sounds like I should have slept in and fished in the afternoon. I'm definitely interested in exploring some method's for using and deploying chum/scent.

Low Sky, did you have any other bait on your jig besides the grub?

Fishonjohn, congratulations and thanks for the winning fish story. I can't believe you wrote all that on your phone. I understand your method of chumming with the ziplock bag, but I don't quite understand the first method you used by hooking the pieces to your circle hook. Could you expand or add any information on that procedure?
