Has anyone had this kind of wear before? I'm guessing I could have done a better job at maintaining my drive. Hopefully NA can set me up with a new pulley.

Your pulley cable was too tight.
You want it tight so it doesn't clunk while peddling, but still a bit of deflection when pushed on from the side where it spans a gap.

Thanks, I'll try to get the adjustment right. It's mostly been trouble free.

Easily replaceable. I keep a collection of spare parts in my truck, so if I have a drive failure, I can at least fix it locally ashore.

Very valuable information and guides for everything Mirage Drive and Twist-and-Stow rudder.

Kayak Shed has the idler pulley in stock for $5.69   http://www.kayakshed.com/product/hobie-idler-pulley-plastic-drum/
You might consider buying a spare cable too.
