Seldovia. Any suggestions?

Heading to Seldovia in a week and half with the family and taking the yak. Any suggestions on places to fish, species, techniques, etc...This is my first trip over there.

Any input is appreciated!

Can't say I have fished that area much.  But popular places are in front of Fourth of July creek (4 miles from harbor) and point pogi ( 8miles) which seems a little far.  I would suggest looking at the webapp for navionics to find areas that could be fished closer in.  http://webapp.navionics.com/?lang=en#boating@6&key=w%7BmtJv%7Dyq%5B

They are catching kings and silvers out by Point Pogi so I would assume you should be able to find them closer to Seldovia as well. 

Like you it will be my first trip this  October. You should get good luck from feeder kings and silvers during the time your going. I'm trying to get info for my trip but if I hear anything specific I'll pass it along.
