Hello,

I'm originally from Olympia, currently living in Las Vegas, and would like to start kayak fishing.  All of my fishing will be in Lake Mead where the wind blows 15+mph on most afternoons.  I expect to paddle/pedal at least 3 miles per trip.  I"m 6'3" and 220 lbs. Can anyone provide recommendations for a kayak in those conditions?

I understand that the best way to find the right kayak is to test it out on the water.  Unfortunately, the local kayak community here is small (but growing) and the ability to test drive 'yaks is limited.

While cost is important, finding a kayak that works well for me is the overriding factor.

you will get lots of suggestions but I'm going to suggest testing out a Revo13, with ProAngler12 or 14 also in the running...cheers, roger

I also recommend a Revo 13 or Outback. They are both great boats! Good luck
