I love the way lingcod bite, it's like a snag, then it moves a little or can be lift slightly...

fish on at 1m30s, happy dance at 6m15s, at the end I am texting my wife (at 7:30am, she was just up having her coffee) then I got back to fishing.

note: getting practice using my 'chinook' net in anticipation of needing it for some larger fish soon...

The colors on that fish are amazing.

I always seem to catch the brown ones.

Nice. I've only scoped that area before. Good to know what's in there.

I love it! I think we all do a little dance when we catch that elusive fish... Maybe it's not quite as awesome as your dance there.

Good one, Roger!  My favorite part is at 6:21 where you had to stop dancing and pull up your drawers... ;D
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

you are correct, those convertible pants tend to slide down while getting up and down from the Vantage seat, although tripping and falling overboard would have been funny...   :)

that is one of the Cabela's Tourney Trail rods from about 2013, 7' one piece IM-7 blank, M action.  I've have a bunch of these in spinning and casting versions, very versatile and not expensive so losing one overboard isn't a big deal...
