Pulled this one & two 19's out of the same hole, not saying where exactly, but I'm going back there Saturday morning.  ;D

Darn it!  That's the upgrade I've been searching for!  Good job, and good fishing on Saturday!

The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

It was a good day and some did very well - though my catch was a little lacking.  I had good time - my first time at Sunset- and plan to be there next year!

I'll let those that put on the event post a better account, but Williamesch caught a pile of fish and took first, Christine? (aka Ms Capt. Redbeard) was second, also with a bunch of fish, sorry I missed the name of the third place person.

Congratulations to all that put on this great event and to those that won!

It was a great time out on the water yesterday, conditions were great and I managed to pull my first ocean kayak fish (first trip out of PC was just an ocean shakedown) and it was a dandy along with a mess of rockfish that I threw back in search of the elusive cabby's and greenling. At one point I pulled three ling's on three straight drops in a row. Unfortunately the third ling did a number on my copper lancer jig (from ORC) and I had to swap it out since I didn't have another copper one. Had a few rockfish doubles that I thought were some big fish, but alas just a couple 17" rockfish... Nevertheless tons of fun and while I didn't even crack the top 10 I was definitely pleased with the results!

no worms, maybe some sour grapes?  ;) Caught nothing in that same spot on Saturday. Seems like everyone around me was catching them, but I couldn't buy a rock fish or ling. Still got 3rd place with small fish strategery  :banjo:

Whoa! impressive! I could have used one of those. I've never caught one that big. As it is, I got 3rd place for small fish strategery  :banjo:

Congrats on third, that's awesome. I've never caught one that big either. That kid's always getting bigger fish than me when we go out. He just stays over the same drift all day, and fishes the same jig every time, it works for him. He also has a real good feel for the bite, he always has. I'm going to start leaving him at home[emoji6]
