Youtube of one method:

Launch points north of Hwy 520
http://www.paddling.net/launches/

Also, put a call to this number to confirm there are no hook restrictions, so, barbed is OK in freshwater

Has anyone had at them before?

Tried COHO fishing in lake WA this AM.  There is a great launch at Houghton Beach Park just north of the 520 bridge.  Was raining hard but about a block away found an undercover parking area of the off-lake side that was perfect to stage, sign said something about home loans.  I was able to back right up and put the trailer wheels on sand.  Tough fishing that end of the lake with 20 MPH wind smoking up from the south.
Tried a couple of colors of Hot Plugs, an orange flat fish with a red hook hanging back 6 inches that worked well for sockeye, a coho killer and a few other types of spoons, I got one perch on a small spoon just as I was surfing onto the landing.  Saw fish rolling and was marking fish on the lowrance.  Watched an eagle take something and saw one fish in a net.  A fair number of boats, talked with several who said they caught some trout but no silvers.  Boats were really stretched out all the way north, suggesting to me there were few/no hot spots.  Put in about 7 and took out about 10:30 as the 20+ gusts were making it difficult to keep speed under 2 MPH downwind (had to back paddle).

Nice fish! I was hoping to head out this morning and try from Magnuson Park, but life got in the way. I'm hoping the wind dies down in a few hours to try and get the later bite, or going to try tomorrow morning, provided life isn't getting in the way more. The water didn't look too sporty from the video, is that just an illusion? :)

Well, it would have  been, but that was a video from you tube a while ago I stuck in just as a reference.  Wind was significant, 20-25 and on the north end had the full lake to rip. Can't say enought about how nice the launch is a Houghton Beach Park just north of 520.
