Lee and I trolled the wild weedy Wilapa today. Catching was S...L...O...W... Out of 20'ish boats I only saw two fish landed. Lee got stripped once, me twice, and I had this one solid hook-up. Would have possibly been a personal best coho, but we'll never know...

Nice miss Richard,

Did you guys put in at Tokeland ? The South Bend launch has been really busy the last few weeks. I've been seeing over 25+ rigs parked there lately.

Yup. ........that ho you missed was probably the biggest ever too. But hey..... that's fishing. And you already knew that. You'll just have to use sharper hooks next time.

How bad were the weeds out there ? Did you have to pull up every 10 minutes or less ? It can be really tough to find a channel that is weed free in the Willapa Bay.

I'm surprised you only saw 20 other boats today. Big tournament is going on either today or tomorrow.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

It was a solid middle to upper teen fish for sure. Unfortunately I don't have better proof [emoji6] The highs and lows are a part of why I fish though. wouldn't be as exciting without them!

Off Wash Away Beach. Yep, every 10 min or less. 20 was a conservative number. There was at least that in our immediate area and more motoring around.
