nice article in this month's Portland Monthly highlighting paddling on the Columbia Slough, Smith/Bybee lakes, and the Tualatin River. I'd guess you can find the mag around Portland, or you can read the article online here. Not directly about fishing, although it does mention them. also good listing of put-ins, and links to maps:

I've heard there is some decent bass fishing in all three locations mentioned.   Regarding the Columbia Slough and Smith/Bybee figuring out the put-ins has been an issue for me.  Thanks for pointing out this article, it's a great resource.

There a launch for the slough on Airport Way. I drive past it coming back from the airport, right as the road begins to curve south. There's a little sign saying Canoe Launch. The leaves were changing color last fall when I drove over, looked like it would be a beautiful paddle.

I'm not sure what my weekends plans are. We're supposed to being heading to to a gathering near Castle Rock, WA, but the rain is dampening our enthusiasm on that. So if we don't head north, I could be up for a paddle somewhere nearby. Drop me a PM with your phone number, I'm not sure I have it.
