My sons and I are new to kayak fishing.  Starting small with Sit-ins mostly for trout fishing.  I intend to grow from here.  We are looking forward to a new fishing season.

Are you staying in sit in's , or graduating to sot? What new waters are you looking to hit, are you trying any new species, What safety gear do you have and still need to get? Details man details. And welcome to the club ......"Hi my names Mojo and I'm a yakfishinaholic....it all started with a friends SOT and now I have 2 of my own and will be getting another"  >:D

Damn MoJo---- yes you are !!!

jbutler7---- don't let Shannon scare you away. Go out and have fun with your kids. You will all make unforgetable memories together. Maybe you will catch the trout of your dreams and your dreams can grow. Or even better---them babies will be the catchers. Either way you all win. Get out there and 'make it happen'.

If the bug bites---- enjoy those tommorrows too. Odds are good you will get bit. But I'm a little biased for sure , otherwise I wouldn't be here. And by not rushing into things--- you give yourself more time to get even more confused and befuddled by the many options ahead of you. Above all---GO HAVE FUN.

  Oh....and do it safely.....

 Mark
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Welcome!  I am Cornelius and do a lot of trout chasing at Hagg Lake.  I usually post up on here when I head over there.  You all are welcome to join me anytime.  I sometimes drag my 10 year old son out with me too.
