Interesting to follow-along as you built Polyangler's rod.  Thanks for pointing me to it.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

This thread got NEMrod and I chatting about Cousins blanks again while scheming a few builds for the 2017 season. Looking at two on the CISH1004. A caster and a spinner with comparable specs to the fore mentioned Clarus. And MurseStrong planted the Columbia Composite series seed. The blank Cousins used in the CC 944TG sounds dead sexy! The specs closely match the Talora I've been running for several seasons, but just lighter and longer. Is it too early to get excited for next summer/fall?!?

Premature expectations,  Dick?

I'm just a gear whore, so the prospect of playing with new toys is exciting!
