Non kayak, but had to share. Took this photo today immediately after landing him. It instantly became number one in the spank bank... I mean fish tank... These fish blow my mind when you look at them up close. No enhancement either. Just slightly magnified and cropped. All natrual otherwise.

Nice one.  Me and another member tried our luck on the Wilson today but my perfect score of zero is still holding true.  No metal love for me today.

The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

Nice. I'm itching to get out soon.

Maybe we should have a steelhead thread here even if it's non-kayak.

Where does it say in the bylaws that we can ONLY fish from kayaks ?

Any fishing experience can teach us to be better fisherman, and we can apply what we learn to the kayak and vice versa.

Nice steelhead!

Maybe we should have a steelhead thread here even if it's non-kayak.

I think we all enjoy fish pics, stories and the opportunity to gather intel.>:D

I'd suggest creating a "fishing without kayak" folder, under the "not necessarily kayak fishing" forum header, to put all the bank and non kayak fishing trips

I agree, and I'd much rather gain my fish intel from you guys then trolling on ifish or OFF.

Thanks all! Been a pretty shit hot season so far. It's the little details of this fish that continue to blow my mind though!

Totally agree with everyone on the kayak vs non-kayak front. We're all fishermen and women. I only mentioned it because this is a kayak fishing forum and all... IMO we don't need a non-kayak section. If you've got pics, stories, techniques and so on, just share them! Most of what we do from the bank or powerboats carry over to make us better kayak anglers in the end.

Share em if ya got em! It has been an incredible season already & I learn something new everyday I get out. These fish ARE crazy and I never know what to expect once I get them to commit to a fight. Making small adjustments in presentation & tactics as conditions change has been essential. Thanks for sharing & Happy New Year!
