I traded my old kayak in for a Revo on a whim because of a good deal. I did NOT do my homework or even test drive before I purchased and now its kicking my butt.
I can not reach the pedals sitting comfortably in my seat. I have to sit on the last inch or so of seat to be able to paddle. I am fairly short 5'9", so I don't know if its just the wrong sized kayak for me or if there is an easy fix.
I was thinking about removing the pedals and mounting an L shaped bracket along the crank/shaft then attaching the pedals to it resulting in moving the pedals hopefully 5-6" closer to my seat.

Has anyone dealt with this? Does anyone have any ideas? I'm willing to get inventive because I don't want to sell this yak.
Thanks

Just to verify, you have already adjusted the pedals? You are not too short for the hobie pedals, should be plenty of adjustment for your height.

Edit: Not sure why the video below is not displaying for me on the web, it works in tapatalk... Strange.

There should be plenty of adjustment in the pedals to get them closer to you.  There are some on here that are vertically challenged way more than you that use Hobie Revos...

I'm the same height as are you and unless you have really short legs, you should be able to adjust the pedal shaft length to suit you.  I had to adjust mine down - they were too close to me to pedal comfortably.

Everything will be all right in the end, so if it's not all right, then it's not yet the end.

I'm 5'7" and my pedals are adjusted to hole #3 or #4 and I'm sitting back in the seat fairly upright- you do not want to slouch in that seat all day.  Sounds like pedals might need to be adjusted.

Hmmm I've had my 5' tall niece on my 13' Revo.  You won't regret buying the Revo, just needs sorting out.

Sounds like a poor choice for you. I'll give you $500 for it. I'm tall so it won't be a problem.

Just chiming in - my kids have been pedaling in the front of an Oasis with me since they were ~54in. tall (slightly smaller cockpit than a Revo). I think you just need to adjust the pedals.
