Hello everyone,
Just retired from the Army and moved back to Alaska. While I've fished Kachemak Bay before for Salmon and Halibut before, it will be my first time kayak fishing in Alaska's salt water. Fished by kayak quite a bit off the Louisianan coast and in coastal Lakes...Sabine, Calcasieu, etc...this will be different!

Looking to link up with a few other kayakers at the tournament so feel free to say hello if your going and don't mind social kayak fishing.

Installing a new downrigger and GPS/Sonar this week and this forum has provided lots of opinions on both subjects so thank you everyone for taking the time to post them.

See you on the water,
Jonathan

Thank you for your service, Jonathan.

We have a lot of members from up Alaska ways.  Listen to their advice and stay safe out there!
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.
