Hey all, looks like Trojan Pond is getting stocked sometime this coming week. Weather forecasts say wind and rain through the weekend, so I'm keeping an eye out for the first nice day after the stocking.
  • Where: Trojan Pond is a 15-acre pond just east of Rainier on the north side of Hwy. 30 at the Trojan nuclear facility. The pond is located on the right side of the road as soon as you turn onto the Trojan Access Road.
  • What: It's being stocked by 4/7 with 2,500 legals (toss 'em backers) and 500 trophies (woohoo'ers).
  • When: First nice day after the stocking (max of 7 mph wind; lower chance of rain). Current forecasts say maybe Sunday (4/9). Will have a better picture by this Wednesday (4/5).
Haven't been there before, and the whole "nuclear facility" thing is a bit sketchy, but it's supposed to be nice (and allegedly radiation free). Anyone got a geiger counter? haha.

If the fish has three eyes throw it back, if it's glowing take it home alive and make a kickass lava lamp style fish tank.

Saturday: Rain

Sunday: 9-12 mph Wind

Tuesday, 4/11: 3-4mph wind, high of 59, partly cloudy. Look's like that's the first nice day to go get 'em.

I'll plan to be out there around 7:30-8:00 AM this Tuesday if anyone finds their way out there.

Haven't been there before, so I'll have to do some mapping to see what the bottom looks like (aka not forget my battery). Hah.
