Hopefully this is not a stupid question...................But, I would like to know if anyone has had any experience with it I would like to know.

I am still pretty new to Kayak fishing, and I just tried trolling yesterday and found that I really liked fishing on the way to the spot where I would be doing my fishing in ernest for a bit. So I have used (I think you call them) Lake trolls out of a powerboat before with good success, the type where it's a few small flasher blades in series with a leader going out to your hook.

What I am wondering is would it make sense to use a dipsy diver to get the rig down to depth quicker and keep it there? I have never used one before, but I was doing some reading and it look's like a good way to go. I was thinking of using the smallest one they sell.

So I would like to get your guy's thought's on my idea, is it worth a try?

I also noticed they sell them in a bunch of different colors, like all fishing gear I suppose, but if it is a plausable idea, would it really make that much difference what color I get?

Thanks in advance, for any insight you guy's can lend....

There's no reason you can't use any number of diver types, or even side planers and downriggers from a kayak.

Yep. Dipsy's work. I've fished em off the yak for years. Get ready for a ton of pull, though, if you use anything besides the smallest ones. Not sure how much color matters. Get a few and run your own test!
