I'll be heading up to Bowman Bay Saturday a.m.. Weather looks decent, tides mellow and good ling cod habitat nearby.  Plus free access to WA state parks 6-3 and 6-10.  Gotta try out some of these Lancer jigs. ;D

I fished for about 4 hrs. and pulled in a couple undersized lings appx. 20".  Had a huge take down that got off.  Mauled the crap out of my jig.  Sea gulls seemed amused and were unabashedly laughing at me. That was the one I wanted.  Oh well.  We'll see who's laughing next time.

Good going!  I fished out there a few times.  Haven't been out there in a couple years at least, but would like to try it again.

I hauled in a 17 pounder in that area last year in only 12ft. of water with only 10 lb. test line.  That was a blast! Can't believe it held with all those teeth sawing at it.
