Is anyone doing some fishing in the south sound area this weekend.  I will likely hit American lake again tomorrow morning unless someone else has something going.

Hi. My name is Elias
I was just wondering what do you fish for when you go to south sound.
I have started kayak fishing with my friend not too long ago(4 month ago). We have been to Westport couple times and had not good experience, and we went to solo point and caught some small flounders. I tried trolling for resident salmon, but did not work well.

Did you hit American Lake today? Was it any good? I'm considering going to American tomorrow instead of Sammamish. It's been on my list of lakes to try for a long time.

Didn't make it out.  The wife wanted to go yard sailing instead
Good luck out there tomorrow.  I have always had good luck pulling a sling blade and hoochie in the north end of the lake.

I was planning on maybe heading out Monday or Tuesday this coming week, if I can't all the gear ready.  Need some water time badly.....

Is American Lake restricted to military personnel?  It looks like its on the base up there on the maps.
Kayaking without wearing a PFD is like drunk driving.  You can get away with it for a while, but eventually someone dies.

American Lake is open to the public.  It is lined by private homes on the north end.  There is a launch on the West side on your way to the VA hospital in Lakewood and one on the East side in Tillicum.
