Just a thought regarding the Alaska fishing section...seems like the vast majority of our fishing reports come from 2 locations: the Homer Spit and Whiskey Gulch. Might be a good idea to have a sticky for each location where people can post their reports/pictures.

Well one mystery solved Mr SwansonSilver who I assumed was a North Roader who liked to fish coho on the Swanson. Lol.

I'd go along with your idea too. It would cut down on individual post listings and in a good way become a historical chronicle of a running report that could be easily referenced by post date as to what was happening in February or July or two years ago in those two locations. That would expand everyone's personal diary and records with a lot more timing and success information from other contributors.

With so few saltwater location options for Southcentral Alaskans maybe having a sticky for Whittier and Seward/Res Bay since there are seasonal fisheries in each of those locations that would be a good database for fishing those areas.

What? Cohos in the Swanson??? Never heard of such a thing! [emoji12] yes, I love that river. Those small stream silvers can be pretty tight lipped but once you figure out their idiosyncrasies they are a blast.

Good input on the stickies, it certainly would make it much easier to research a given area.
