Inexpensive setup for a beginner?

For trout tackle you can't go wrong pulling a wedding ring around with a piece of worm. Green lake is a good place near Seattle to practice but keep the worm off unless you want to keep the fish (not sure how safe they are to eat).

If you don't have room in car for rods, if you have a sot you can put them in the cargo section. I have a little aveo and can fit 7 ft rods in by putting butts in passenger foot well and then tips go to the back of the car

Have you hit any of the areas around here? Curious to know if you've found success. Also, for Green Lake, the trout are safe to eat as long as there isn't an algea bloom.
