To not having enough storage...will be interesting.  But my answer will be to take less stuff.

That works, but fish storage is the real issue. Try putting 2 limits of rockfish and lingcod in/on the Oasis. It's a chore at best, and I've learned to enjoy washing fish blood and guts out of the inside of my hull.

A TI would solve all your fish storage problems.  And with tramps installed, you could take the whole family out.

I'll say this. The Oasis is hands down the best option for tandem fishing from a Hobie and it is absolutely the worst designed tandem fishing craft that Hobie offers.

Curious what your thoughts are. My biggest beef with the Oasis is lack of storage, but what are you going to do unless you make it 2 feet (or more) longer?

Space is the big killer. There is just not enough space for tackle and a decent sized catch cooler. I really dislike the hull design its slow and you get a lot of cavitation off the rear of the boat at speeds above 4 mph. Also for reasons beyond me the way the rudder was designed it turns very efficiently to the right but poorly to the left. I've tried adjusting the rudder and rudder lines but it makes no difference. Also the new ones DO NOT come Lowrance ready and why not double the number of in-hull rod spaces?

Agree on the FF readiness and the rod holders, although I don't use either much. I have not had the same problem with the rudders on any of my Oasis boats - interesting. I personally don't feel like for its length and weight capacity it's particularly inefficient (did you try the Outfitter? It gets worse...) but it's obviously a barge compared to a Revo or a TI. When fished tandem I feel like that is nicely offset by the double horsepower, but it does feel like you're moving a *lot* of plastic.

But create a host of others. I don't really like dealing with the length and weight of the Oasis let alone an even longer, heavier boat. Maybe when I have a bigger garage and longer trailer someday. I really like fishing in the tandem but the best answer for fish storage for me is to fish out of the single.

Fish storage is the problem with the Oasis, but it's only slightly limiting.  I know a guy that had to drag a barn door in the water for 3 miles one time.

You can solo load it on a full size pickup roof, but it is NOT fun.

Nothing beats getting your kid on the water, and you can get around ALL the inconveniences for that in my opinion.

Based on this conversation, I decided to that I'm going to forgo the Oasis.    I'm going to keep my Revo 13 and buy an Outback.  Then I will have two kayaks.   I think it will be more fun for my kids have a kayak to go solo in.
