I'm looking to get a bilge pump.  I've never swamped my rig but it is possible and I'd prefer not to make the evening news (unless it's for landing a very large fish from a kayak).  Any input from your experience would be appreciated.

Scotty with the stainless steel shaft that won't break.  Everything on it is rebuildable if needed.
Scotty 544K Kayak Pump w/Float.  You may find it rebranded, but it will still be a Scotty.

That's what I use, too.  It's one of the few things I splurged on a bit.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

I still got a kids water cannon and it doubles for revenge on the guy that outfishes you as you sneek up behind him.  :banjo:

They sell something very similar at landscape supply stores for about half the price.  ;)

The Seattle Sports Bilge pump from amazon has bailed me (get it?) out on a few occasions. No complaints for me.

I had a Seattle Sports model. I got rolled in the surf on the way in and tried to pump out the water before loading onto my cart. The plunger head popped off because it was just glued (poorly) to the shaft. I called and emailed Seattle Sports a few times  and never got a response from anyone. I have a Aqua Bound Bilgemaster now. Much better quality and I know they have a CS department should I need them.
