Hi folks, I'm curious if anyone has fished around Three Arch Rocks off of Oceanside? Pacific City sounds like the go-to kayak-fishing spot along that stretch of coast and I'll likely be making my salt water debut at some future meet up there -- but I have a place to stay in Oceanside and imagine that there's some great structure around the rocks (I know there's a 500 foot buffer around them part of the year), so I'd like to know if folks have found success out there?

Nope, never have been near the rocks, and since it's the largest Stellar seal rookery along the coast, I never will.  Sea lions are bad enough, but seals can get positively ornery.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

I believe that is a marine reserve, so distance from the rocks matters for legality if I am correct.

I don't know of any place to surf launch near there to help minimize the surf.  PC has the cape, so a NW swell can be reduced where kayaks launch.  Best bet from Oceanside is exploring Tillamook Bay or Nehalem Bay or making the short drive to PC or Depot Bay.

Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

As Nobaddays mentioned, the launch/landing is far more unforgiving than at PC.  On a 2 foot day it's fine though.  There is a lot of structure around those rocks and there are plenty of fish there.  I wouldn't say it's any better than PC.  Both areas get pressure: PC has the dory fleet, Three Arc Rocks gets the bottomfish fleet out of Tillamook Bay.  For me it's six of one, half dozen of the other except for the launch and shoreside facilities.
