Is anyone going to try some trolling for Salmon this weekend who wouldn't mind some newby company? Thinking of going around the Sellwood area.

If you don't get any replies of people heading out, just go. I wouldn't be surprised if you see kayak fishermen there. It's getting to be that time of year. I'm sure there will be a decent amount of power boaters there. Most of them are friendly and are willing to give some tips if you ask.

Hi Drifter - I was out there Sat (skunked dirty water) and Tuesday (lost one, water better). Mostly shake down runs. I realised that 2 rods are probably more than I want in a kayak.  I am heading to the coast for crab/rockfish one day and probably will hit Sellwood the other just cuz the weather looks to be so good.  I am in a Mango Hobie Outback if you are out there run me down. I have fished Sellwood forever, but this will be my first year in a Kayak which adjusts the plan a bit from a 16’ boat

Thanks, beer_run, I am in full debate. If the ocean forecast holds up I may hit Depoe Bay Saturday instead of a Willamette boat ride. I did however get some new Kone Zone flasher that I am jonesing to try out.

I am in the same boat as drifter.  If the ocean stays i will be at PC or Depoe.  If it gets messy i will be on the willamette going for an early springer.  Side chance i may hit Hagg lake for fun lol

No love for some cold water walleye? If the wind is calm at the the dalles, I’m heading out there.....hunting springers in March is just so heartbreaking. But if it’s windy I’ll probably be out in the channel near Scappoose.

3 springers at Sellwood today. All after 12 noon.
