I finally got the dell tech guy to come around and fix my computer after 3 weeks of trying...

2 Saturdays ago i launch the hobie from just south of fauntleroy ferry and take off to the north...i didn't bring a fishing pole thinking it was too windy (i was right) its the farthest i have gone on my kayak yet...i was rounding the point at alki point and the waves were pretty ruff on this particular day with high winds...i rolled it :(...lol but i got back on and continued around the point and saw the only guys fishing that day...so after going about half way down the little park there at alki i turned around and went over to them and talked to them...they were actually crabbing but killing time jigging the point while the pots were down....talked to them for about 30 mins or so getting the scoop on what lures and how to fish for the resident chinook and all that stuff....they caught a small one while i was there and released it....then i headed back...4 hour trip and over 10 miles...thats my new record lol

the next day i went and got the dart lures and a few buzz bombs which i have yet to use that they suggested

didn't get to use them until last saturday...i didn't get out until late...tide was suppost to peak at nightfall basically....i didn't get on the water until 2:30 so i only had 2 hours...but i had brought the fishing rod and my new lures with me and was gonna do some jigging....this is when i realized how difficult it is to tell when a fish is biting a lure when ur line is slack...but i got a few bites but no hook ups...finally at almost dusk i was at a little point in south of the ferry in the thick fog...i was a little hesitant to go at all but i didn't go more than a 100 yards or so from shore because of the fog...anyways i caught my first fish on a kayak...it was only a 13 inch blackmouth but i was still happy that at least i caught something...

then today i left got in the water by 8:45 and the sun was out but i was worried about the wind...i tried to fish the lincoln park point...but it was just too windy...big white cap waves...of course about the time i had to go at 11:30 the wind started to die down...and the dell guy didn't even show up to fix my computer untill 3:00 :(

oh well wat can ya do...maybe next weekend the weather will cooperate
