I have a Hobie tandem that I take out (untill I can get one just for me, really liking the new outback)
Mostly just bass fishing but i'm determined to get a salmon. Have only salmon fished from a boat a few times so doing so from the kayak I'm pretty clueless but keep trying. Any suggestions and experience is great.
Also interested in joining up with others at some point.

Welcome to the forum.  With the Columbia closed, local options for salmon are limited, but keep an eye on the forum during the spring.

HI

The coastal rivers offer many options and in my opinion are easier to navigate than the Columbia.  I will be back fishing tomorrow on the Wilson to start scouting the lower part of the river to kayak fish for Salmon.  Same with the Nehalem river.

I’ll probably hit the NF Nehalem come December for steelhead, but I’ve pulled a late season chinook out of there as late as Xmas before. Wilson to drift eggs for salmon is something I may do next month. I’ll probably post up when I do.
