2018 Homer Elks King Derby?

Looks yummy!  Did you do anything with the kelp fronds before using them as wrappers?

They were dehydrated so I just rehydrated them to make them pliable.  These were store bought but they look just like the kelp we see on the beasches here in Alaska (Not the bull kelp).  I remember my grandmother would use kelp we picked off of the beaches in Homer, AK when we saw more kelp in the area.  I am going to make an effort to collect a little at extreme low tides or the ones I see floating or snag up while fishing as well.
